I spent the holidays both in Wellington and Gisborne reading about different forms of coaching, in particular that associated with instruction and leadership. The book Coaching Leadership by Jan Robertson has been great and an easy read. I have also found the information on the Plot PD website from Joan Dalton and David Anderson really useful also.
Today I have had my thoughts clarified whilst talking with Carolyn Stuart about how I am going to approach this is in our school and I am really looking forward to the next step. This will really be a case of reciprocal learning and benefiting all involved.
